Leyndell is the center of the world and the largest single area of the Lands Between. It is also where you have to go to progress the main story. You need a total of 2 Great Runes to continue the main story, but if you've been following the walkthrough you will have 3 by now.
**NOTE**:EVERYTHING inside the city of Leyndell should be considered missable, since after you complete the Crumbling Farum Azula section, this region will change dramatically. Make sure to pick up and do everything before you do that section. The Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and Leyndell Catacombs are an exception and they can still be accessed at the end of the game.
At nights you can fight another Bell-Bearing Hunter, who will drop the Medicine Peddler's Bell Bearing.
Move on through the only path available, until you enter a building past a fire-breathing statue and then use the lift to the lower level. In the next room you can climb the ladder to open a chest with a Perfume Bottle and on the next floor you can find another Seedbed Curse. If you exit the balcony on the level with the chest that had a Perfume Bottle, reach the end of the balcony to get an Upper-Class Robe. Return to the bottom and keep moving through the buildings fighting Perfumers and Knights. After the Knight that stands up to fight you, you will see a destroyed convoy. You have now reached the Capital's main street.
In the street you can find an Erdtree Avatar that will drop a Lord's Rune, which will give you a lot of Runes upon use. The gate at the very east of the main street can be opened and this is where you will have to go after you defeat this region's main boss to continue with the game. At the end of the path you can find a Leonine Misbegotten enemy that guards a Perfume Bottle and an elevator, but once you get to the top, you will be blocked by a mist gate that can be dispelled only after you defeat the main boss. We will return here at the end of the region to continue with the game.
Return to the main street through the gate. On the left you can enter an alley that has a Knight and many enemies. At the end you can find the Imp Head (Corpse). Opposite from this alley and across the main street you can reach a clearing with a fountain. The building to the left of the fountain has an elevator that takes you to the capital's graveyard, we will return here shortly. The building to the right has a Crucible Knight and after him you can create a shortcut to the East Capital Rampart Site. In the main street keep moving towards the west and to your right you can enter a small building to find the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. You can also access the graveyard from this place. The areas on the west side of the main street contain a lot of high-grade Runes and upgrade materials if you want to further explore and also features a Lion Guardian enemy. The only item of importance for this walkthrough is a Stonesword Key on top of a gazebo.
In the graveyard area from the Avenue Balcony Site, if you head down the stairs to the left, you can find a scarab with Ash of War: Thunderbolt. Return to the lift that leads to the graveyard and access the area from there. As you move forward, one of the graves guarded by some skeletons wielding spears has a Stonesword Key. You can find another Stonesword Key in a chest found in a cell in the room full of enemies. The ladder in the same room leads to a shortcut to the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. If you go to the roofs from where you exited the elevator in the graveyard area, you will find the Black Bow after jumping on a few roofs. Heading to the very west part of the area in a clearing and past a small bridge, you will spawn an Ulcerated Tree Spirit that will drop a Golden Seed. Enter the next building to the south that has a Cracked Pot and move on up a small ladder and into a building with the Lower Capital Church Site of Grace. This building also has Lionel's set and Deathbed Dress. The Omenkiller enemy outside this building drops the Omensmirk Mask.
Climb down the ladder to the sewers and then take the path to the northeast end past the rats to find the Guilty Hood. If you take the other path into the building and take a left turn and then another left turn, past the Giant Hand enemy you can find Lost Ashes of War. Now take the right path when you enter the building from the sewer level and you will find yourself behind a fire-breathing statue. In the area below one of the corpses has the Erdsteel Dagger. Climb the ladder to find yourself at the base of the statue dragon's wing. You will need to climb it to reach the capital's higher levels, but we have another location to explore first. Straight from here you can also find yourself again in the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace.
In the hall with the Omenkillers you can find the Bloodsoaked Mask and Bloodsoaked Manchettes. Taking the ladder down from the hall you will have to navigate on top of some pipes that has a lot of Imps. At the end of the area you can go up some stairs to enter the area with the Shadow Bait. There is also a lever here that will connect this room with the hallway that has the Site of Grace. Return to the area with the pipes and this time instead of going up the stairs, carefully fall down to the lower pipe and then to the bottom of the area. Here you will find two giant crayfish enemies. One of the corpses in this area has Mohg's Shackle. From here you can also enter the Leyndell Catacombs, which will be covered a bit later. Touch the Site of Grace for easy access later and then head up the lift in the other path. In the area with the ghost archers, there is an illusory wall at the base of the first set of stairs hiding another ghost archer. Then there is another illusory wall that hides a Spirit-Caller Snail enemy that guards Haligdrake Talisman +1. The top of this area creates a shortcut to the area where you found the Shadow Bait.
Go to the other end of the hallway and drop down the hole. In the sewer past the rats, instead of taking a right turn, continue to the end of the path past some poison flowers and up a ladder. Guarded by a Giant Hand enemy is Lost Ashes of War. Here you can also find Dung Eater and release him by using the Sewer-Gaol Key he gave you. Back in the sewer with the rats you want to take the right turn to continue. In this sewer full of slugs you want to jump over two holes and once you reach the end of the path, go right through the open iron gate. Following this tunnel will lead you to an open area with a ladder that leads back to the hallway with the Omenkillers. Use the lever to create a shortcut to the Site. Return back to the tunnel with the slugs and fall down the first hall you saw to fight some enemies and get a Stonesword Key.
Opening the door from the hallway, you need to carefully fall down to the lower level. Keep following the path until you descend some stairs and you have the option to descend a ladder or head into another sewer with some poisonous flowers. First, go down the ladder and past a giant poisonous flower and some Death Frogs is the Nomad Ashes. Then go to the tunnel and past some more Death Frogs you will reach an open area with an Omenkiller enemy. Defeating this enemy will give you the Omen Bairn. Climb the ladder and open the door in front of you. This creates yet another shortcut to the Site of Grace.
From where you created the shortcut, climb on the nearest pipe and reach its end before jumping to the platform on the left. Past the doorway you have to carefully jump onto the next pipe and then through the hole into the pipe. This part is among the most complex in the game and you will easily get lost in here. It is highly recommended to craft some Rainbow Stones, so you are aware of the paths you took. What you are looking for in this area are two holes you can fall into. The first hole takes you to the area with the Death Frogs you passed earlier, while the second hole is the one you need to progress. You will know which is the right hole as there is a corpse with an item at the bottom of the hole you want to fall through. Continue from this hole to reach an elevator, which will take you to the end of the dungeon.
At the end of this dungeon fight 
Mohg, the Omen, who will drop the Bloodflame Talons. Open the chest after the boss for the Erdtree's Favor +1 and then attack the altar behind it to reveal a secret path. The next area is currently blocked by another mist gate and will be accessible after defeating Leyndell's main boss, so we will return here later.
Continue until you fall down a ledge with a grave in the middle of the area. At this point you may think that you just made a circle, but this is how you progress through the dungeon. The area is exactly the same as before, but you may notice that some extra gloveworts and enemies have appeared. You have to reach the top of the cliff once again and fall once more to the area with the grave. After you fall there for the second time, keep progressing until you drop through a small window. This time instead of going towards the ledge, move back to the hallway with the fire-breathing column. Ride the column to the room that seems the same with the one that you picked up the talisman, but this version of the room has an extra path you can follow that will lead you to the dungeon's lever. Be careful, as if you fall before using the level you'll have to do all of the above to reach it again. The end of the dungeon has the Lord of Blood's Exultation that is dropped by boss Esgar, Priest of Blood.
Before you move to the huge tree root, fall to the area on the right. If you climb on top of the stables and into a window you will enter a version of the Roundtable Hold, called Fortified Manor. This Manor is exactly the same with the Roundtable Hold with the exception that no NPCs are here. If you go to the blacksmith's location, you can find the Sanctified Whetblade and a Hammer. Inside Fia's bedroom you can find a Hero's Rune and the By My Sword gesture. Continue to the Two Fingers' room to find the Coded Sword. Then go to Dung Eater's room to find another Seedbed Curse. To go to the lower level, descend the stairs near the blacksmith's location. In the dining room you can find the Two Fingers' Prayerbook, which you can give to Corhyn or Miriel to get two more Incantations; Lord's Aid and Lord's Heal. Exit to the hallway and go to the location where Alberich invaded you to find Alberich's set. In another room by the hallway you can find a Site of Grace and the Flightless Bird Painting. Since you are close to a Site of Grace, travel to Dominula, Windmill Village to the Site of Grace that you touched after you defeated the Godskin Apostle boss. Go to the south end of the elevated area past a house with three enemies to find a ghost that will drop the Fire's Deadly Sin.
Return to the Manor's hallway and you will find an invasion sign. This is Bernahl's assassination quest, so interact with it to invade Vangram the Raging Wolfand Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm. You will also be accompanied by Bernahl for this fight. Once you defeat them, you will get the Raging Wolf set. Return to Bernahl in the Volcano Manor in Mt. Gelmir to get Gelmir's Fury. This leaves only one assassination quest for the Volcano Manor. Back in the Manor in Leyndell, go to the hallway and open the door next to the one leading to the Site of Grace. In the courtyard there are two Iron Maiden enemies that guard a Stormhawk Axe. The elevator leads to the area that you were teleported from the waygate in Weeping Peninsula. In the hallway open the main doors to leave the building. On the left as you exit are two Leyndell Knights. One of them drops the Gravel Stone Seal. If you climb to the nearby stables, then run and jump on the scaffold near the Manor, you can find a Stonesword Key.
Return to the area that you fought the Valiant Gargoyle. Instead of climbing the huge tree root, go underneath it and go towards the big coliseum. As you climb the cliffs, in front of one Duelist enemy you can find the Ritual Shield Talisman. At the end of the path you can find Goldmask and Corhyn. Exhaust the dialogue with them and then look in the alcove behind them to find the Star Fist. Return to the giant tree root and climb it to finally progress through the area. Once you enter a building you will fight Godfrey, the First Lord, who will drop a Talisman Pouch. Touch the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace.
Exit the building where you fought the boss and take the nearby elevator. In the next path is an invisible scarab with Barrier of Gold. As you move on, you will occasionally reach a place where you can oversee the giant bolt statue in the center of the city. Carefully fall to the ledge below you and then climb on top of the statue. At the end you can find the legendary armament Bolt of Gransax. Return to the Erdtree Sanctuary Site and move forward and up the tree branch. Before you cross the bridge jump to the roof on the left and then through a window to find the Erdtree Bow in a chest and a Celestial Dew. Then climb to the tree branch to get the Golden Order Principia, which you can give to Corhyn or Miriel to get two more Incantations; Law of Regression and Radagon's Rings of Light. Make sure to buy the Law of Regression as it is required to progress Corhyn's and Goldmask's quest. You need 37 Intelligence to use this incantation. Even if you have not invested in an Intelligence build, if you have followed the walkthrough so far, you will have the necessary equipment to use this spell. You can equip certain talismans and armor in order to increase your total intelligence. Some of these items include:
Grafted Blade Greatsword's skill (Weapon, but requires 40 Strength and 14 Dexterity to use), Twinsage Glintstone Crown (Helm), Marika's Scarseal (Talisman), Stargazer Heirloom (Talisman). You can also equip Godrick's Great Rune and then use a Rune Arc to increase your Intelligence and all other stats by 5 levels temporarily. Finally, you can mix the Intelligence-Knot Crystal Tear in your Flask of Wondrous Physik and drink the mixture to get another 10 levels temporarily. If this is too big a hassle for you, you can always respec your stats at Rennala and add 37 points to Intelligence, then once you are done with this part of the quest, you can respec again to your primary build.
With 37 points in Intelligence, go in front of Radagon's statue in the area that you found the Bolt of Gransax after the Erdtree Sanctuary Site. Stand on top of the message and cast the Law of Regression. Then read the new message. With the new information return to Goldmask and Corhyn to exhaust their dialogue and receive the Golden Order Totality gesture. Corhyn will now also sell the Immutable Shield.
Back in the Erdtree Sanctuary Site move forward to find the next Site of Grace, Queen's Bedchamber. Here you can find the Blessing of the Erdtree. Move on to the next area and defeat 
Morgott, the Omen King, who will drop Morgott's Great Rune and Remembrance of the Omen King. Try to enter the Giant Erdtree and then return to rest at the Site of Grace. Melina will now give you the Rold Medallion.
BEFORE you do anything, roll to the wall to the right of Hyetta to reveal a secret path. At the end you will find a chest with a Rune Arc. Behind the chest attack the wall again to reveal another secret area. Following this path will take you to Deeproot Depths, a region underground, but we will check this later. For now touch the Site of Grace and return to the previous room.
To finish Hyetta's quest, you must take off ALL of your equipment and go through the door to inherit the Frenzied Flame by the Three Fingers. If you talk to Hyetta after that, you will receive the Frenzied Flame Seal. Before doing that, make sure to read below:
IMPORTANT NOTE: By doing so, you will be locked into the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending (or the game's "bad" ending). You CAN reverse this by following this walkthrough up to the end of Millicent's quest and then going to Crumbling Farum Azula. By reversing the Frenzied Flame, you will be able to get the other endings again. However upon reversing it, then for THIS RUN you will be PERMANENTLY locked out of getting the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending. Receiving the Frenzied Flame before going to Crumbling Farum Azula for the first time will also have another implication in a cutscene and the conclusion of a character's story (read the spoiler below):
After you complete the Mountaintops of Giants East section and you reach the Giant's Forge, you will have to burn the Giant Erdtree to continue to Farum Azula. If you don't have the Frenzied Flame at that time, Melina will sacrifice herself in order to burn the tree. If you have the Frenzied Flame, Melina will scorn you and threaten to kill you if you become the Lord of Frenzied Flame, followed by abandoning you. You will then burn the tree yourself. There is no difference to the rest of the story, as you will be able to get any ending you want, if you choose to reverse the Frenzied Flame. The only difference is that in one case Melina will die and in the other case she will survive but still abandon you and hate you for your choice.
CONCLUSION: It ends up to your personal preference on how you want Melina's story to end. This walkthrough will postpone inheriting the Frenzied Flame until we reach Crumbling Farum Azula. If you want the other conclusion to this character, feel free to inherit the Frenzied Flame now and complete Hyetta's quest.
*NOTE*: It is at this point that you can give him Seluvis' Potion and receive his Ashes, if you want to obtain them (the walkthrough gave the potion to Gideon). If you decide to give it to him, you must have not completed Seluvis' quest up to the point that you gave Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade after Nokron, Eternal City section. Giving the potion to Dung Eater will not allow you to complete his quest later on.
